Exporting Data as a Spreadsheet

Exporting your submission data into a spreadsheet format is a quick way to track, analyze, or share information collected from your forms. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process.

1

Select Your Submissions
From the All Submissions page, check the boxes next to the submissions you want to export. Ensure they’re from the same form.

2

Open the Export Menu
Click the Actions button and choose Export from the dropdown menu.

3

Customize Your Export
Here’s where you can tailor your export to get exactly the data you need. Refer to the annotated screenshot below for a visual guide to these options.

A Spreadsheet (XLSX): Exports your data as an Excel file.
B CSV (Comma Separated Values): Exports your data as a CSV file, which is compatible with many different programs.
C Inline Table Data: Check this box if your form has tables and you want all the table data in a single JSON-formatted column.

D Links to Private Upload Files: Includes active links to any files uploaded with the submission.
E Columns starting with [Droplet] (like Submission ID, Status, and Workflow Step) are about the submission process. Use this option to quickly exclude all Droplet-related columns from your export.
F Save your export settings for this form, so you don’t have to reconfigure them next time.

4

Export and Download
Once your options are set, click Export to generate your file. It will download automatically to your computer.
