How do I reassign a submission?

Created by Scott Wasilewski, Modified on Tue, 10 Sep at 11:19 AM by Nick Duell

Sometimes you need to reassign an in-progress form submission to a different person—maybe someone is out of office, there’s been a position change, or you entered the wrong email. In just a few steps, you can select the submission, choose a new assignee, and make the switch. This keeps your workflows running smoothly and ensures the right person is always in the loop!

Viewing the Current Assignee

For each In Progress form submission, the Assigned To column displays the name and email of the current person assigned to handle the submission.

Reassigning a Submission

  1. Select the Submission
Click the checkbox next to the pending submission you want to reassign.
  2. Select 'Assign' from the Actions menu
After selecting the submission, click the Actions button and select “Assign”.

If you need to reassign multiple pending submissions to the same person, simply select the checkboxes for all relevant submissions.

Selecting the New Assignee

You have two options to choose from when selecting the new assignee: choose a Droplet user or manually enter a name and email.

To choose a current Droplet user, you can select them from the provided list or search by their name or email.

If the person you wish to reassign the pending submission to is not a current user in Droplet (not available in the list or via search), click Select Someone Else.

Click Assign.

You should now see the name and email address of the individual reassigned to the In Progress submission(s) in the Assigned To column of the Submissions Page. The new assignees will receive an email notifying them that a new submission requires their review and a link to the submission.
