What do I do when I am Assigned to a Form Submission?

Modified on Thu, 19 Sep at 1:25 PM

When you’re assigned to a form submission in Droplet, it means action is needed from you to keep the workflow moving. Whether you need to review, sign, or add information, completing your part is essential for the submission to progress through the workflow. Droplet makes it easy to manage your submissions with notifications and a clear list of tasks.

Getting Notified

You'll receive an email notification whenever a submission is assigned to you.

If you receive an email from "[email protected]", it will contain a link to the submission that requires your attention. Simply click the link, and it will take you directly to the submission where you can complete the necessary actions.

Working on Your Assigned Submissions

Once you open the submission, you’ll be able to:

Review
Look over any details provided on the submission so far.
Add Information
Fill out specific fields that might pertain to your workflow step.
Sign
Adopt your signature, if required.
Approve/Advance
If all looks good, send it forward!
Send Back for Changes
If your workflow includes a revision pathway, you might have the opportunity to return to someone for needed edits.
Reject
If your workflow allows, you might have the power to permanently reject the submission.

After completing your part, the form will move on to the next step in the workflow or be finalized, depending on the form setup.

Managing Multiple Submissions

If you receive many submissions, it can be helpful to periodically log into Droplet and manage everything directly from your My Assignments page. This way, you can efficiently review and complete multiple submissions in one sitting. As you finish each one, it will automatically be removed from your assignments list.
