Tagging Forms
Tags are most commonly used to label forms by department or purpose. For example, a form might be tagged as both Onboarding and Payroll Department to show that it’s used by payroll for new hires. These tags appear as small, colored labels on the Forms page, making it easy to see, at a glance, how each form is used in your organization.
To add or update tags on a form:
Navigate to the Forms page and select the form(s) you want to tag.
Click the Actions menu, then choose Manage Tags.
You can add or remove tags by checking the boxes next to the forms you want to update. To add a new tag, provide a name and value — for example, “Department: Payroll” — and click Add Tags.
Tagging Users
Tags aren’t just for forms. They can also be applied to user accounts to organize people by department, job title, or any other category you need. For example, tagging users by department (like IT or Human Resources) can help ensure that everyone in the same group has the appropriate roles and permissions in Droplet.
To add or update tags on a user account:
Go to the Accounts page and select the user(s) you want to tag.
Click the Actions menu, then choose Manage Tags.
Add or remove tags just like you would with forms, assigning labels like “Role: Administrator” or “Team: HR” to help categorize users.
A Word About Form Tags in All Submissions
In Droplet, “Tags” can also refer to a method of surfacing specific form values on the All Submissions page. This allows you to display important details from a submission as columns, making it easier to manage and track specific data points. While this is a separate use of tags, both methods share the goal of helping you stay organized and efficient.
By using tags effectively, whether on forms, user accounts, or submission data, you’ll keep your organization running smoothly and ensure quick access to the information that matters most.
