How do I use the Language Selector Component?

The Language Selector Component allows users to choose their preferred language to view the form in.  This component translates the form’s text content into the selected language, enhancing accessibility and usability for a multilingual pool of submitters.

Features & Configuration

Once you have set up the Translations feature on your form, adding a Language Selector to your form is simple.  Select the Language Selector option from the component library and drag it onto the canvas.  Submitters can then choose the language in which they want to view the form.


After placing the component, you can customize its properties in the right-hand panel:

Properties

Width
Adjust the column width for the Language Selector (between 1 and 12 columns) to control how much space it occupies within the form layout.

Attributes

Wide Alignment
Enable this option to stretch the component to the full width of its component container.
Only Include
Select specific languages to offer in the dropdown.  By default, All available languages will be included.
Alignment
Choose the alignment for the Language Selector: Left, Center, or Right.
Margin Top
Set the space above the component in pixels to control its vertical spacing.
Margin Bottom
Set the space below the component in pixels to control its vertical spacing.
