Fix an "Unauthorized Access" error

An "Unauthorized Access" message means the account you are signed in with does not have permission to open that form or submission. It is usually a quick fix once you know which of these it is.

Fix an "Unauthorized Access" error

Make sure you are signed in as the right person

This error often comes from being signed in with the wrong account, for example a personal email instead of your work email, or a different organization.

1
Check the account you are using

Open app.droplet.io and confirm you are signed in with the email your organization uses for Droplet.

2
Open the link from your own email

If you received the form or task by email, open it from the message that was sent to you. Links are tied to the recipient, so a forwarded link will not work for someone else.

3
Sign out and back in

If the right email is being used, sign out fully, then sign back in to refresh your access.

If you still cannot get in

You may simply not have access yet. Access in Droplet is controlled by your role and by who a form or submission is shared with.

  • Ask the person who sent you the form, or your Droplet administrator, to confirm you have been given access.
  • If you changed teams or roles recently, your permissions may have moved with you. Your administrator can check your role on the Organization page.
Need a hand? Email support@droplet.io with the link or form name and the email you are signing in with, and we will track down where access is missing.
